This shielding paint is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The Yshield classic. A paint for everything, if you can’t choose. Based on a high-quality pure acylate binder. This paint is frost resistant for shipping in the winter.
The paint shields against high-frequency electromagnetic fields (HF) and low-frequency alternating electric fields (LF). Breathable, solvent-free, plasticiser-free and low-emission. The paint has excellent physical and chemical properties.
With this paint you can easily shield your walls against the high-frequency fields of cell towers, DECT telephones and wireless internet of your neighbours.
Indoors: 4 – 8 m2 per liter on a flat, non-absorbent surface
Outside: up to 5m2
With a structured surface → larger surface area → greater consumption
Attenuation at 4m2 / liter @ 1GHz:
1 layer: 44 dB | 2 layers: 53 dB | 3 layers: 60 dB
Attenuation at 8m2 / liter @ 1GHz:
1 layer: 39 dB | 2 layers: 46 dB | 3 layers: 51 dB
Excellent adhesion to almost all surfaces. Absorbent substrates must be pre-treated with primer GK5. Otherwise, the binder will get into the pores with the water, so that it will not dry properly and the physical properties will deteriorate.
Preferably covered with plastic-bound water-based emulsion paints, dispersion silicate paints, facade paints or silicone resin paints.
Physically, the paint will also reflect the high-frequency fields without grounding. However, for a surface area larger than 2m², for safety reasons (possible short circuit if you touch a power wire when drilling / nailing holes, etc.), electrically conductive surfaces must be grounded by law. Earthing is also essential when low-frequency electric fields also need to be shielded. For quick installation, there is a Grounding kit for indoors available on our website.
This product is frost resistant (proved for 5 frost-/thaw cycles) and can be shipped throughout the year by air cargo or ship.
Water, natural graphite, pure acrylics dispersion, carbon black, additives, preservative (BIT, INN, MIT).
As coating in technical applications
With the fine pigmentation of 50 µm, high film hardness, good substrate wetting, high adhesive tensile strenght and newtonian rheology … our customers discovered more and more technical applications through the years: Technical shielding of parts, devices, machines or facilities. Manufacturing of absorber materials, pressure sensors, screen printing on heating films or gypsum boards.
Wet film 200 µm: ~2 Ω/ | Wet film 150 µm: ~3 Ω/ | Wet film 100 µm: ~5 Ω/
Measured with Schütz-Messtechnik MR-1 and 4-point-probe.
To adjust the resistance or the viscosity please find search for our additives POLY5 and VISC5.
Ready for 5G
As we keep on developing our paints, they now have an almost linear shielding attenuation for a very large frequency range. This frequency range has already been including both 5G frequency spectrums for quite some time: FR1 (600 MHz – 6 GHz) and FR2 (24 GHz – 40 GHz).
Safety up to 40 GHz
We have a professional EMC-laboratory according to various standards up to 40 GHz on site, which is operated by long-time experienced staff. You’ll receive measuring curves and reports from 40/600 MHz – 40 GHz with all our shielding products.
Our shielding paints are developed in accordance with strict ecological criteria. We use, for example, the carbon black with the lowest emission possible on the market and untreated natural graphite. We consciously do not use graphene, a nanomaterial where the hazard potential is still completely unknown.
